I created this simple recipe with seasonal ingredients, adding all the spices I love to make it fully mine! Here are all the ingredients you’ll need…

Ingredients for approximately 8 dumplings:

2 rolls of Puff Pastry
3 Golden Apples (medium size)
2 teaspoons Cinnamon
3 tablespoons Brown Sugar
A dab of Butter
Raisins to taste
½ Lemon juice
12 Amaretti
Apricot Jam to taste

In an ample pan add the apples cut into thin slices, sprinkle with the cinnamon, brown sugar, and lemon juice. Let the ingredients cook slowly covered with a lid until soft and brown.

Once the apples are cooked and creamy, add a dab of butter and let them caramelize without the lid. Lastly, with the heat off, add the raisins and leave to cool.

Separately, cut some rectangles of puff pastry and spread a thin layer of apricot jam on the top, sprinkle with crushed amaretti biscuits and add the now cold apple compote, creating little parcels.

Place the dumplings on a baking tray with baking paper, sprinkle with some brown sugar and bake at 170 degrees in a static oven until golden!

Our dumplings are ready! Let them cool and sprinkle with icing sugar!
