Candies that taste like home!

Italian candies and bubblegums can be hard to find, so we made sure to create a dedicated section on BellaItalia.

Here you will find some classic candies that will take you down memory lane starting with the wrapping: the Rossana Candies are iconic and unforgettable: you would always find one in Nonna’s purse and around her house, hidden in some drawer. For us, they are to this day the most amazing candies just for the memories they bring!

Other classics we offer are the juicy Fruittella and Milk Galatine: these are just perfect to always have with you for a sweet break!

Our selection of Italian Liquorice has everything you need. Did you know that the region of Calabria alone produces and exports 80% of the national licorice? The particular condition of the soil in the southern part of Italy actually makes it perfect to grow this plant!

Last but not least...our favorite Italian chewing gum! We love how the Italian chewing gums are aromatic and not too sweet: the perfect balance to freshen up your mouth and not ruin your teeth with too much sugar!

Here’s a fact that might surprise you: the average Italian child consumes 40% less sugar than an American child.

How is that possible in the land of dolce? Because in Italy, candy isn't a high-volume, everyday snack. It’s a sophisticated, artisanal treat reserved for moments of joy and celebration. This is Italian Candy, and it’s about quality, not quantity.

In Italy, candy is a ritual.

The most famous tradition is that of Confetti. These are sugared almonds, and they are used to mark every major life event. At weddings, guests are given white Confetti to symbolize the bittersweetness of life. At graduations, you'll find red.

For births, it's pink or blue. Then there is Torrone, a rich nougat with honey and nuts, which legend says was created in 1441 for a noble wedding in Cremona. This isn't just candy; it's a piece of history.

This is what you're tasting. Not the mainstream chocolate you find at a checkout counter, but premium, artisanal confections from specific regions.

You might discover the Gianduiotto from Turin, a velvety blend of chocolate and hazelnut, or a soft, decadent Torrone from L'Aquila. It’s an affordable luxury, a way to treat yourself to something truly special.

It’s the final, perfect piece of a well-stocked dispensa.

An Italian food pantry is about having everything for a complete meal.

You have the Italian Flour From Italy (and caputo gluten free flour) for the pasta.

You have the anchovy paste and Tuna In Olive Oil for the savory courses. And when the meal is over, you serve the Italian Coffee. And with the coffee, you serve this.

This is the sweet, celebratory, perfect final bite.
