Ferrero

More than Nutella...

“Che mondo sarebbe sanza Nutella” - What would be of the world without Nutella? - is a famous slogan everyone in Italy knows, and nobody wants to answer that question: there should always be a jar of Nutella in every house!

The tradition of mixing Chocolate and Hazelnuts became very popular in Piedmont during the war as Chocolate (which had to be imported) became too expensive: mixing chocolate beans and Hazelnuts produced a sweet paste that became famous as Gianduja. Fast forward to 1964 when Pietro Ferrero came up with the perfect gianduja cream and called it Nutella (form Nut which was one of the principal ingredients), the rest is history!

Ferrero, who started as a confectionery shop in Alba, near Torino in northern Italy, soon expanded and became internationally famous for Nutella and for the amazing products they kept inventing like Ferrero Rocher, Pocket Coffee...and so much more.

Ferrero’s sweet cakes like Fiesta and Brioss are the perfect sweet note to start a busy day at school or at work, and new products like the Nutella Biscuits are always ready to surprise you!
